This week marked the official start of summer. But here in Texas, summer starts pretty early. So while you are pulling out your summer dresses and shorts, I have already worn half of my summer clothes in the last few months. Needless to say, my summer wardrobe needs some refreshing and I am starting with rompers.
Today’s all blue ensemble is courtesy FREY BOUTIQUE, think effortless modern bohemian style. Val (the owner) was so prompt in answering my queries and my order arrived beautifully wrapped with a personal note. This is one of the many things I love about shopping with boutiques.
This navy embroidered romper is a great romper, really! Barring aside, my obsession with rompers; my opinion of it comes from the general quality of it. Often times, I am more concerned with the look and style of the clothing. But I respect a well-constructed quality garment and this won me over. The fabric is challis which is light without being transparent and feels soft against the skin. The adjustable straps, side pockets, elastic waist, tassel necktie, and the bottom shorts that are completely lined. You see what I am talking about. Also, keeping up with this year’s embroidery trend which is all over the front and back of the romper. I do love the details.
Moving on to these gorgeous sky blue flat sandals that I think should be in your cart right away (under $22!). The color is one of my favorites and the tie around ankle strap style makes a style statement. It is a summer sandal that adds a pop of color and definitely catches your attention. I also like these Black Suede Open Toe Mule and Soft Olive Lace Up Sandal, both of which are neutral summer sandals to have.
Size Note – Sandals run true to size, I am wearing 7. Romper runs a little big, so if you are between sizes go down a size. A small fits 0-4, medium fits 4-8, large fits 8-12. I am wearing small.
