Introducing MILLE – a women-owned brand curated for real women. I discovered MILLE on Instagram and instantly felt like these clothes were made for me. It was the right brand match. I immeditaley reached out to them to explore an opporutinity to work together. The stars aligned and here I am collaborating with them.
So a little about the brand – MILLE. “It was founded by retail maven, design lover, Austin native, and Minneapolis transplant Michelle LeBlanc. With an unerring eye towards comfortable yet covetable pieces, MILLE represents a community of like-minded women who speak the same secret language of style, and a thoughtful selection of garments and housewares they will love to live with.” MILLE’s summer collection is designed in Minnesota and their block print apparel is made in India in collaboration with a small family owned workshop using their artisan made block print designs. This spring they have shifted to a made to order model for their collection in order to be more sustainable and only make what there is a demand for.
Their summer collection is an effortless mix of feminine pieces that you can wear every day. It brings me immense joy to find clothes that resonate with my personal style and are made with natural fabrics. Now more than ever, I want to dress in comfortable, practical clothes and also feel good wearing them. I see all of the above in MILLE’s summer collection.
Here I am wearing MILLE’s Catarina Dress in Black – an easy breezy summer dress. I like its feminine design with its flutter sleeves, and the flowy silhoutte. Made with 100% Cotton Double Gauze, it is perfect for the Georgia heat and humidity. It has pockets that I so very much appreciate in a dress. I am wearing an x-small and I would recommend sizing down your usual size. It has a little bit of room from the waist down so I added a belt to give it some shape. I paired it with a long necklace, hat and sandals. It is an effortless piece and ticks so many checkpoints and I can’t help but sway in it.
