Spring in Atlanta is the perfect and most beautiful time. The weather is pleasant, everything is in full bloom – the white and pink dogwood trees, azaleas. It is so colorful. Also, no mosquitoes! One thing I don’t like about Georgia summer is the attack of the mosquitoes, you can’t survive without repellant. Mix that with sunscreen on my skin, it is a weird combination. But we will deal with that when the time comes, meanwhile, I want to hold on to Spring as long as it is possible.
I have been on the hunt for dresses and tops that are made from breathable fabric and are effortless to wear for spring and summer. I found some great pieces at Hollister and Old Navy. They have sales going on at the moment. I find it easier to shop online and either ship it to my home or opt for store pick (which is free!).
I am wearing a striped shirt dress in a pretty pink color. It is a mix of rayon, cotton, and linen, with a cinched waist and buttons all the way down. I like the relaxed fit of a shirtdress. I styled it with pink wedges, a straw bag, and tassel earrings. These tassel earrings are for less than $2 and look so pretty. Overall, this look is affordable, cute, and weather appropriate.
