Taking my love for saree & stripes to a whole new level here. Black and cream stripes with a pop of red and a contrasting print on the pallu. This saree was bought on a whim just to go a different route with my saree style.
I wore this saree just in time for the Navratri festival. This time around I bring out my ethnic clothes to get me in the festive mood. As per the website, it is a Bhagalpuri silk saree but I have my doubts about it being silk. But nevertheless, I paid a fair price for it and I am quite pleased with it.
The stripes are really the feature here so I did not overdo with the accessories. I initially wore this big nose pin which I later removed as I wanted the saree to be the highlight. Went with a ‘flower in the hair’ vision to get that 60’s Bollywood heroine look. If only, I could master a cat eye winged eyeliner but truth be told, I end up looking like a raccoon.
