Today’s post is all about those hot summer days and cotton dresses that come to the rescue. I understand that the post does not go in tandem with the current weather chill, at least here in Atlanta. But since I shot a couple of outfits back in October, I hope you will bear with the late posting.
On days when I need to look presentable and yet not drown in my own sweat, cotton dresses provide the fix. They are comfortable and classy at the same time.
Having been obsessed with polka dots, you can imagine my joy when I spotted (pun intended!) this dress at Nicobar. If you have loved Good Earth you will be glad to know of their new brand Nicobar that offers clothing, home decor, and travel accessories. The clothes are relaxed and contemporary designed to suit many lifestyles.
Here I am wearing the Nico dress – a cotton maxi dress with a wrap V neckline, two-button closure at the waist, and a front slit. The dress when unbuttoned can be styled as a long cape over straight pants or dress.
On Anuranjani, you see a kurta with gold khadi work from Anokhi, a boutique you see quite often of on the blog. The kurta dress is actually borrowed from our mum’s wardrobe, and by adding a belt it takes care of the volume that would otherwise look big on her frame.
