Maxi Dress

It has been pretty hot and humid here in Texas but that hasn’t stopped me from dressing up for the Summer. Effortless maxi dresses are a summer staple given that they are easy to style and can transition from day to night. From solid colors to popping prints, these low grazing hemlines are your answer to soaring temperatures.

For petites like me, maxi dresses can easily look dowdy if done wrong. To get the look, I opted for a form-fitting maxi dress. I love that the dress has a waist tie which adds definition. I think a cinched waist in form of a wrap style or elastic waist, looks well on petites. The simplest way is to add a belt like I did in my previous post. Since I have been loving the bohemian style lately, the tribal print on this dress caught my attention. The dress is a bit long on me as it does not come in petite sizing, but it isn’t something a tailor or pair of high heels can’t remedy.
