When I saw this red off-shoulder top at Zara, it got me thinking of a beach vacation. I never got to have my beach vacation and this top stayed in my closet for one whole year, until now. I paired this off-shoulder top with a button down skirt from Forever 21 and black heels. The skirt is light and airy and so comfortable for everyday wear. I wanted to wear something in my neck to add a casual flare to my outfit and enter a bandana as a necktie. I love how well the blue necktie goes with the red.
What I am wearing – Off shoulder top: Zara; Skirt: Forever 21; Shoes: DSW, Sunglasses: RayBan Clubmaster.
Just when I got ready to shoot this look for the blog and headed outside, it started to pour heavily. It felt like the universe was conspiring against me. Instead of going back home, we drove around aimlessly and eventually started to enjoy the rain from the comfort of our car. In the end, the whole fiasco came with a silver lining, as I was able to enjoy a good lunch, complete certain errands that I would have procrastinated otherwise, and lastly; the clouds gave us the perfect lighting for the shoot.
In my head, I have so many ideas on styling/wearing the off-shoulder trend, like keeping it simple without the accessories or adding a choker to make it edgy. If you are wondering, why the umbrella then my friend; let me tell you; that I collect the most random but pretty things. I bought this parasol from Chinatown in New York, where I had to haggle over the price, just I would do in Sarojini Nagar market in Delhi.
