I recently went to New Orleans during Thanksgiving weekend and it was the first time that I skipped the Black Friday shopping frenzy and enjoyed some downtime. New Orleans was in fact warm considering it was the end of November, but thankfully, I had packed smartly. On day 1, I wore this woolen skirt from Loft with some warm tights and tan boots. One of the things that I enjoy about winters is wearing boots. These oldies from Carlton London have stood the test of time and weather since I have worn them in snow even though they are not meant for it. Continuing with my new found love for yellow, I wore this high-low top from H&M that is super flattering in hiding the holiday weight. Since my look was simple, I added some silver sparkle. I am someone you would call a jewellery hoarder. Most of the time my jewellery sits perfectly in their boxes and hardly sees the light of day. So much so that my new years resolution this year will be to stop buying more jewellery. I got this vintage coin ring (Lai) from someone who puts in a lot of thought into the gift. I think we all have that one person in our life who goes the extra mile when it comes to selecting the perfect present. I am indeed LUCKY! If you have missed my travel post on New Orleans, do have a look. With Mardi Gras coming up, it is a good time to visit. Wish you a happy new year!
